VIBE To Award Free Home Makeover To Family In Need

Each VIBE Home Makeover provides a complete home transformation, with at least 20 exterior and interior improvements and upgrades.

VIBE provides a designer home renovation valued at $150,000 to a recipient family in need at no cost to the homeowner. The renovation is completed during a 12-day community build supported by volunteers from our project partners, including home improvement-related companies.

Upgrades include: Painting (Exterior + Interior), Landscaping, A/C and Heating, Flooring, Kitchen Cabinets, Countertops, Appliances, Bathroom Renos, New Furniture, Mattresses and Bedding, the latest Electronics, Smart Home, Security System, Closets, Window Treatments, Lighting (Exterior + Interior), Ceiling Fans, Water Purification, Whole House Generator, Gutters + Protection, Outdoor Furniture, Fencing, and Pavers.

Other enhancements may include Spa, Lanai, Outdoor Shed, Lawn Care Equipment, Garage Reno, Epoxy Surfacing, Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing, Storm Shutters, Custom Carpentry, and Special Needs/Requests for their highly specific situation or circumstance.

Finishing touches complete the designer makeover and include Artwork, Décor, Mirrors, Plants, Vases, Linens, Rugs, Lamps, Clocks, Shelving, and Throw Pillows; all combined with the Homeowner’s Treasures. It is expected that each homeowner receives several of these finishing touches.

A future announcement will be made when we begin accepting nominations from families or individuals in need.

Nominated families and individuals household income should not exceed 300% of federal poverty level ($93,600 for a family of four) although families with health or other challenging conditions may be eligible with higher household incomes. Simply, the greater need a nominee family or individual may have, the lesser the focus on the income guidelines may become.

Candidates for the VIBE Home Makeover must be a Florida homeowner, live in the home to be renovated, and the home be located in Hillsborough, Pinellas, or Pasco counties.
