We have been asked to create a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) snapshot to help explain our VIBE Home Makeover project series.


And while, we may not have all the answers, hopefully we have the same number of answers as we do questions.

WHAT EXACTLY IS VIBE HOME MAKEOVER?

It’s our Signature cause initiative, where families-in-need receive professionally-led, volunteer-supported home makeovers and renovations at no charge to the recipients. 


Four Select Series recipients get modest home makeovers with 6 upgrades, and one Flagship Series family gets a major renovation, 18 exterior and interior improvements. All receive finishing touches.

DOES THE RECIPIENT RECEIVE ALL THESE OPTIONS?

Select Makeover recipients get 6+ major improvements. Flagship Renovation recipients get 18+ major upgrades.


All homes get an array of finishing touches from 12 groups. 


Trilogy acts as the puzzlemaster matching the needs of each homeowner recipient with the resources of VIBE’s partners.


WHO LEADS THE DESIGN + RENO?

The design is led by a professional interior designer, with help from a design team, including a landscape designer and our project partners. The Flagship reno is managed by a licensed, insured, experienced residential contractor.


DO YOU DO MAJOR CONSTRUCTION LIKE THE TV SHOWS?

VIBE offers what we consider to be cosmetic enhancements and functional upgrades. Our ‘no-demo reno’ approach avoids most all major structural changes, deconstruction, and construction, like demolishing walls, altering the home’s footprint, and building additions. We artistically provide a stunning renovation using the existing floor plan.


WHO SUPPLIES THE RENO PRODUCTS?

Our SHOWCASE PARTNERS provide most of the major products and services for the renovations, including professional installation where appropriate. Trilogy subsidizes products that can not be procured otherwise.  Volunteers from our ANCHOR PARTNERS provide a workforce to assist with ’volunteer-appropriate’ efforts.


WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THESE MAKEOVERS AND RENOVATIONS?

In each market, it is expected that more than $300,000 in community impact (home improvements) will be provided to those-in-need. Each Select Makeover is estimated to be valued at $30,000 each (times 4 homes = $120,000), and each Flagship Renovation is estimated to be valued at $180,000. These estimates apply to our inaugural 2026-27 series of projects in the Tampa Bay region.


WHO’S ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

All households and families who can demonstrate a need can apply. Our inaugural Tampa Bay project has four ‘Focused Sectors’ who will receive priority:


Families-In-Need: Priority w/children suffering from health issues


Healthcare Workers + First Responders: Including nurses, hospital workers, first-line workers


Teachers + Educators: Including teaching assistants + staff


Military: Disabled veterans, surviving spouses, active


WHAT TYPES OF HOMES ARE IDEAL FOR VIBE?

Typically, homes are between 1,200 and 2,400 square feet, single story, and structurally sound. Ideally, to minimize  renovation and upgrade issues, the homes should be no older than 45 years old, built in 1980 or later.


The recipients must live in their home, and should have household income below 300% of federal poverty. Both the home and homeowner must be conducive to VIBE’s “It Takes A Village” approach. This also means the recipient  must be willing to participate in a very high-profile cause initiative. Select Series recipients can be owners or renters. Flagship Series families must be homeowners.


WHO LEADS THESE EFFORTS?

Trilogy Agency, a Tampa Bay area-based proprietary cause marketing firm acts as the developer and manager of the project.
